It's (not) a hard life

......well, I've mainly been having lots of fun!

Firstly, my Uncle Geoff and Ashleigh came to visit. I hadn't seen them since I was about 8 months old. So I didn't really remember them. But I soon realised that they were lots of fun! They took me on my favourite big boat and I loved it!

Then they took us to a place called Surfer's Paradise, where they used to live, and I got to play on the beach with Daddy!

Uncle Geoff and Ashleigh had to go home and I miss them, I want to give Ashleigh more cuddles. Mummy says I can soon because we are going to visit them in Melbourne where they live. I can't wait, I'll be so excited to see them!

I had a great weekend with Mummy and Daddy. On Saturday, we went to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, it was amazing!

We watched a Kelpie called Rex round up some sheep. I got to pat him afterwards, he was very hot! Then I met a friendly ram called Gus.

I also got to meet farmyard animals, but then it got even better! We went to meet the kanagroos! There were lots of them! Mummies and daddies and joeys and they were all really friendly.

I even got to pat them (by the way sorry about Mummy's rubbish photos, she wasn't up to her usual standard that day!)

Then Daddy said that I could feed them, but I was hungry, so when he gave me the kangaroo food, I tried to eat it! After that Mummy said I wasn't allowed to feed the Roos!

Afterwards we went to meet the koalas. At first glimpse, they didn't seem as friendly as the kangaroos!

But we saw quite a few, and some of them seemed quite friendly and cuddly, and some of them looked sleepy.

In fact, they seemed so cuddly, that we decided to cuddle one.....well, I was too small to cuddle one and I was also very tired and a bit grumpy. So in the end, Daddy cuddled the koala and Mummy cuddled me! This koala was called Utopia, and I got to pat her. She was really soft and had very dense fur.

Then we had lunch, which I shared with a water dragon. Mummy was not pleased as it sat right next to her toes!

Before we went home there was just time to visit the dingoes and Tasmanian devils, who were too sleepy for photos, and the platypus who were so busy they were hard to photograph (or so Mummy says...)

On the way out we saw some flying foxes. These big fruit bats fly right past our balcony every night as the sun sets, so it was cool to see them close up! This one stuck his tongue out at me!

It was a great day out and I have made Mummy read my new book Hana and the Koala, over and over again, ever since!

Today is Sunday and I thought that it would be a boring day because yesterday was so much fun.....but it wasn't - it was great!

We took the boat to the Southbank for breakfast and then Mummy put my swimsuit on me. I thought she'd gone a bit mad, cos I couldn't see a pool, but then we went around the corner and......well it was brilliant, have a look at these photos

Don't worry about the last picture, Daddy isn't really weeing on me ( I'm blaming the official photographer...again!)

I also had a go on the "big shower", click this link if you want to see it!

Then Mummy took me swimming in the big pool!

They even had a beach, so I got to pay with my bucket and spade! It was a brilliant day!

I got to see my first rainbow when I woke up from my nap, because it had been raining. Daddy said it's called a double rainbow.

And then I had steak and rice and corn on the cob for dinner! My 3 favourite things! Hooray! What a lovely weekend!
