Well, I have been so busy, you won't quite believe it!
We don't live in Brisbane anymore. Mummy and Daddy packed everything up and we took a taxi and got on an airplane! I was really excited, cos I like airplanes, and I've been on them before. But this was the shortest ride ever! I didn't even have time for a nap, or a meal! But I didn't complain because my favourite bits are take off and landing anyway, they make me laugh a lot! Plus, when we got off the airplane, we got to go on a double decker train! It was brilliant, I knew then I was gonna like Sydney!
The next day we did a beach walk which was nice, but I got a bit bored in the backpack. The best thing was taking a train and a bus to get there, and a bus all the way back.
But it was the day after that that was my favourite day in Sydney! First we took a train, then we met some of Mummy and Daddy's friends and I got to eat watermelon and cake for breakfast, and then we took a biiiiiiiiiig yellow and green boat past a biiiiiiiiiig bridge to the zoo! I loved the boat! Here it is
Then we took a bus up the hill to the zoo entrance
Where the first thing we saw was a tree kangaroo!
Then we went to the reptile house and I saw my first Komodo Dragon! It was huge...much bigger than me! Daddy held me up so I could see it better but I was a little worried he might drop me!
Next we saw an enormous and very active Reticulated Python. Mummy said it kept looking at her!
Around the corner were some baby Komodo dragons, a lot smaller than their mum, but still big, about a metre long. I could see one of them stick out his forked tongue a lot.
And then he stopped and looked at Mummy too!
But his sister didn't seem so interested, in fact, she was yawning!
The snake necked turtles were really cool too!
And I got to pat a crocodile and ride a Komodo dragon too - but not real ones!
Next we found the giraffes, which are one of my favourite animals, and I got to ride one of them too!
I couldn't really see the chimps because they were at the back of their enclosure, but I really liked pressing the buttons to hear them talk!
Every so often we stopped so that Mummy and Daddy could look at the view of the city.
It was pretty but I think the mouflon had got bored of looking at the view, because even the ones at the top of their mountain had gone to sleep!
The elephants were pretty cool, one of them was having a bath when we got there!
But to be honest, I was more interested in having a look in this elephant's mouth....
I saw some of the biggest goldfish ever!
And then we went to watch a bird show
I wasn't that impressed to be honest, although I liked the owl. I would have preferred running around to sitting down.
After that we had lunch and then caught the boat and the train back so that I could have a nap!
The next morning we got to take another train and we picked up a new car and drove out of the city over a big bridge and past lots of trucks. When we stopped for lunch there was a lot of baby farm animals in the shopping centre. I got to pat pat baby cows, sheep and goats and I heard a baby piggy squeal. It was very loud!
After lunch I fell asleep in the car and when I woke up we were in the mountains! We were very high up and we went for a little walk, I could see for miles!
I wanted to run around but Mummy and Daddy wanted to take photos and look at the view, but Daddy found the perfect solution!
We found a pretty little waterfall with some ducks.
And I got to explore a little house that we found. Daddy lifted me up so I could see out of the window. It was fun!
But today has been even more fun. We went to a place called Scenic World, and I got to ride on the world's steepest railway and two different cable cars!
Here is the railway and me with mummy and daddy before we went down!
It was very very steep but we had a great view and Mummy held on to me tightly, so I wasn't scared!
At the bottom there was an old coal mine. I got explore some of it and ride a pit pony with Mummy!
Then we went for a long walk to a waterfall. I walked almost the whole way myself (2km ish) and I cried when Mummy and Daddy said it was time for me to ride in the backpack! But I was happy when we got to the end of our walk - we got to take a cable car back up the mountain.
Here it is coming down to get us. I had never been in a cable car before, and as you can see by my face, I didn't know what to expect, but I loved it!
Here is the view from near the top.
Afterwards, we took another ride up and down on the steep choo choo train, just for fun! Here I am with Daddy.
Sometimes he is so silly, I have to tell him, so I say "silly Daddy!" But he just laughs and does more silly stuff!
After lunch I got to go on a different cable car. This one goes straight over the top of a deep valley. It has a glass floor, I looked out of it and saw a waterfall!
It was a really great morning! I slept in the car this afternoon and when I woke up we went to see some things called blowholes....but I'm going to let mummy tell you all about that!
